Could you possibly have it record until motion stops, instead of a timed record setting? I have a 200 G HDD so space is not a problem. My problem is with each movement, I get a 4 Gig video, whether it was a squirrel or a rat or an actual intruder. I like everything about the program but this... and if it is a feature, I have not been able to find it.

Thank you

For current customers all updates are free including version 2 when it is released. If you have purchased version 1.0, you do not have to re-register to receive updates. We expect this particular update to be in the version 2 release rather than version 1.

I know of the capture until user stops feature, but it requires you to have to be monitoring it until you stop it which is not always an option for me.
If you could add that feature, would I have to re-register the program to get it?

Thanks,
Agnat

Dear Agnat,

We believe that your suggestion of having the program "record until motion stops" instead of the use of a timer is a great idea.

The feature that is closest to what you have requested is the "Capture Until User Stops" option.

This option will record video when motion is detected until the user hits the "Escape" (Esc) key.

To access this feature click the top menu:
Camera Options-> Capture-> Capture Until User

As for the large size of the video, be sure to select a good compression codec as each one varies on it's strength of compressing files. Check this forum link for more info on compression: http://www.dreamstruct.com/Products/WebCamSecuritySystem/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=16

In regards to your suggestion, we will test this capability out with version 1.0 and try to incorporate it. If it's not in 1.0 it will definitely be in 2.0 as this version will be more flexible.

We will notify you as soon as this feature is available.

Thanks

Jeff N.
